This project meshviewerd, is there to solve the small gap between:

• collect data: yanic
• display data: meshviewer

The Idea is to configure yanic, to:

1. store data from yanic into prometheus
   • short try: FreifunkBremen/yanic#189
   • long restructure gluon:
     • yanic as service discovery for prometheus
     • gluon expose data as metrics: freifunk-gluon/gluon#3311
2. put meshviewerd in place
   • plays meshviewer.json-proxy to an prometheus server
   • render also diagrams for meshviewer

Benefits:

• small diagrams for meshviewer ;)
• by using prometheus:
  • handle setup with multiple yanic instances (let prometheus scrape them)
  • global-view by using enhance prometheus setups (maybe with thanos, mimir, cortex)
  • -> perfect for multiple gluon-site and gluon-domain, meshviewer-collector or census
